The pampeano ‘Vida’ heart-shaped leather keyring is an exquisite example of South American artistry which makes for an excellent gift for a loved one or for yourself. The leather keyring measures 5.5cm in height and 6cm in width, measured across the widest point. It is also available in a selection of colours including brown, tan and black leather options, with a selection of coloured diamonds to choose from.

This piece features a coloured Aztec diamond which sits perfectly against the rich oak-tan leather. The leather achieves its rich and deeply penetrated colour through an extensive and lengthy vegetable tanning process which uses natural dyes to soak into the leather before it is tumbled to create its softness and unblemished tone. The results are exquisite, creating a true representation of luxury and quality. The single pampa diamond which decorates the front of this piece, has been hand-woven using a thick, wax-dipped thread, originally used for saddlery. The wax coating enables the thread to glide through the leather for hand-stitching, whilst adding strength to the thread, refraining it from fraying or tearing. It also keeps the thread colour vibrant and looking its best, whilst making it easy to clean. The Aztec design originates from Argentina, still to this day completed by highly skilled artisans whose art is inspired by the peaks and silhouettes of the Andes Mountain range which surrounds them. This method of Aztec hand-stitching has been passed down within the artisan families for generations, and cannot be replicated by a sewing machine.

This diamond is called a ‘pampa’ diamond which can be found across pampeano’s entire luxury leather collections, most notably the world-renowned leather polo belts which pampeano is so well known for. These pampa diamonds and patterns were originally used on pampeano’s polo belts to supply polo teams with their team colours as part of their kit.

The Vida heart keyring has been completed with pampeano’s signature antique brass coloured hardware to further match the polo belts, and has been completed with a hand-embossed pampa logo on the back, representing pampeano’s seal of approval for authentic quality and artistry.
