- Provided in a palatable powder which can easily be mixed into feed.
- Low sugar and suitable for horses and ponies requiring a low sugar diet.
- Equine America is BETA NOPS and UFAS accredited, making Vitamin E and Selenium suitable for horses competing under FEI regulations and the Rules of Racing by reducing the risk of our products containing prohibited substances.
Vitamin E and Selenium complement each other and together they play a vital role in supporting healthy muscle and nerve function, as well as supporting the immune system.
The antioxidant role of these two key micronutrients is especially important in hard working competition horses and ponies to help protect muscle and other body cells from oxidative damage. Antioxidants mop up harmful free radicals. Free radicals are naturally produced by the body during normal exercise, but excessive free radicals produced during intense exercise, illness and stress can cause oxidative stress and damage to cells leading to a reduction in performance and a delay in recovery.
It must be remembered that excessive selenium intake can rapidly become toxic, and the addition of a selenium and Vitamin E supplement should be carefully considered, in conjunction with other selenium sources in the diet. The selenium levels in Equine America Vitamin E and Selenium are carefully formulated to be safely fed with most typical competition horse diets.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI Guidelines for Clean Sport.

Ingredients and Nutrition
The carefully formulated blend contains:
Vitamin E: a fat-soluble vitamin and antioxidant, that plays a key role in neuromuscular health, as well as immune function and reproductive health.
Grass is a natural source of Vitamin E for the horse, but the Vitamin E content will vary throughout the year, therefore the stable kept horse, those with limited turnout and performance horses exercising hard may need extra nutritional support to meet vitamin E requirements.
Selenium: an antioxidant trace-element, provided from a bioavailable, natural yeast source. Selenium is required as an integral part of normal body function, as well as playing vital roles in cellular function, the immune system and the neuromuscular system and is also a component of selenoproteins. One of the selenoproteins plays a role in thyroid hormone activation and another is an important muscle protein.
Selenium is only needed in small amounts so care should be taken to consider other sources of selenium in the diet. The selenium levels in this product have been carefully formulated at a safe level when fed with most typical fortified diets.
All ingredients are selected to ensure they are fully compliant with the Rules of Racing and the FEI Guidelines for Clean Sport.
