Global Medics Energy Boost gives horses extra energy to support their athletic performance. The various B vitamins (B1-thiamine, B2-riboflavin, B3-nicotinamide, B6-pyridoxine and B12-cyanocobalamin) in this dietary supplement contribute to more efficient energy metabolism. A lack of just one of these vitamins can interfere with a whole range of biochemical reactions required to convert food into energy. Although healthy horses with a stable intestinal flora can in principle produce enough B vitamins on their own, we see that horses under stress (for example, during transport to competition) often experience negative effects on the intestinal flora.
