Complementary feed for horses
D-Ribose and L-Carnitine
NUTRITIONAL INFO :
Horses are athletes who regularly has periods of intense physical activity and often met with difficulties in maintaining high levels of performance. In skeletal muscle, in fact, occurs a phenomenon known as hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) caused by the fact that the muscle fibers use more oxygen than the blood flow is able to provide it through circulation. Several studies have shown that while at rest or moderate physical activity the skeletal muscle has an excellent ability to replenish ATP, when the intensity of the effort increases to very high levels, we see a drastic reduction in the levels of ATP and other adenine nucleotides (ADP and AMP).
These nucleotides make the majority of cellular energy and fuel needed for physical activity. The energy is released and then made available to the cell, whenever a molecule of ATP (highly energetic molecule) is converted into ADP. Under normal conditions, with an abundant amount of oxygen available, The ADP into ATP is recycled and energy is restored instantly. But when oxygen is exhausted, as happens during high intensity physical activity, the recycling process can not continue.
When there is sufficient oxygen, ADP degrades further with excessive concentrations of AMP that the cell is unable to tolerate. The skeletal muscle cells, to correct this imbalance, should reduce the synthesis of the pool of nucleotide resulting in low availability of athletes have revealed that intake of DRIBOSIO (indirect precursor of ATP and nucleic acids) in the form of food supplements, can dramatically increase muscle power and speed of recovery of stocks of ATP, allowing to maintain high performance during periods of particularly intense workout.
Further experiments have documented many positive effects of D-RIBOSIO also on the heart muscle, as an improvement of the ventricular function and the threshold of physics. The association of D-RIBOSIO with other carbohydrates, such as Maltodextrins, and substances such as Carnitine, potentiating the action making it ideal for athletic horses before and after a performance.
USE AND DOSAGE :
It is recommended for horses engaged in mediaintensive 90 ml per day, preferably broken in 3-4 portions, before and after exercise. To maintain high standards of performance during periods of anaerobic exercise, high-impact, these are high doses up to 180- 200 ml per day.
