Arti-Gold
Arti-Gold is the most complete supplement for obtaining more flexible joints. It is dual action: on the one hand it contains many ingredients for maintaining the cartilage, on the other hand it has a soothing action on the whole of the locomotor system.
When is Arti-Gold used?
- In periods when the locomotor system is under a heavy load
- Chronic cartilage damage
- During and after recovery from injuries
- After orthopaedic surgery (horses from which OCD fragments are removed from the joint)
- Preventively in sport horses that make strenuous efforts
- Horses with a stiff back or stiff gait
- Horses with a delicate locomotor system
Composition
Arti-Gold is formulated with a high dose of pure type II collagen, specifically targeting damaged cartilage, unlike the less expensive type I collagen commonly found in other products. It contains elevated levels of chondroitin, glucosamine, and key nutrients—such as minerals, amino acids, MSM, and vitamin E—that aid in cartilage, bone, and joint fluid development. Additionally, devil's claw is included for its soothing effects on the locomotor system, beneficial for high-stress periods or adult horses with cartilage degeneration. This high-dose composition ensures rapid absorption and supports optimal joint health in performance horses.
Warning: Devil’s claw (Harpagophytum) is on the FEI’s doping list (“controlled substances”) because of its alleged anti-inflammatory properties (source: http://prohibitedsubstancesdatabase.feicleansport.org/). The administration of Arti-Gold should therefore be stopped 2 days before taking part in competition. Alternative feed supplements during the competition are Arti-Sport and P-Block.
